They were soliciting a contribution given I'm on their mailing list from back in the days when I actually had two dimes to rub together and was not a starving student living hand to mouth. My mother has also contributed to them in the past. She and I share a mail box at The UPS Store in Atascadero and it is at this address the HSUS has both of us on their mailing list. Today I received in the mail this pocket planner from the Humane Society of the United States:
