Picture of the Day - The Armory Annex

I discovered this building labeled "The Annex" in downtown Portland, OR. It is actually the Portland Armory Annex  and a popular venue for large events in the downtown area. However, on this day at this corner of the building it seemed like an abandoned and ignored and hidden-in-plain-sight sort of place in the middle of the city featuring a fortress-like architectural theme with some castle elements. This struck me as the sort of place a modern-day vampire coven might take refuge in an urban setting and yet still feel quaintly at home ala the Underworld movie franchise.
