I have not kept up here the past few weeks so here I am today trying to get caught up. I had intended to share this image a couple of weeks ago when it went viral, but between school and some private family drama I never got around to until at which point most people have moved onto to some other viral image du jour. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission posted this image on its Facebook page on April 9th prompting it going viral. They claim it was taken at Sebastian Inlet State Park. By most accounts this is a genuine image capturing a remarkable scene involving a life and death struggle between two apex predators. However, it must be noted that the bobcat is not the largest cat in Florida while the shark is not the largest shark in coastal Florida waters being a three-foot adult Atlantic Sharpnose Shark.
