Somehow I neglected to notice this awesome artistic element in front of the Bonderson Center (Building 197) situated between that structure and Engineering IV (Building 192) on the Cal Poly campus despite walking near it or over it for two previous quarters and the first half of this quarter. I'm still trying to learn more about this feature, such as who built it and when. However, I can say for certain that is a real fossil ammonite embedded in the pavement at the heart of the nautilus pattern which I'm guessing adheres to the golden spiral principle given this is the engineering part of campus.
