In remembrance of today being the one-year anniversary of the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami I am sharing this passage of scripture that brings to mind tsunami.
"Seek him that makes the Seven Stars and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night: that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the Earth: The Lord is his name. " ~ Amos 5:8
That verse is so stunningly beautiful. The verse says that the Lord "makes" the Pleiades and Orion--not "made." In other words, He is responsible for the continuance of the stars and the universe in which they sit. The Lord also continually creates the water cycle-evaporation and rainfall. There is great comfort in these words in that God's power is ever present.
