Yosemite Burning In Nocturnal Moonglow

This is the view tonight of the Meadow Fire raging in Yosemite National Park in the upper reaches of Yosemite Valley above Nevada Falls in the Upper Merced River Drainage. Thus far the fire has charred about 700 acres and for a time trapped about 40 hikers atop Half Dome. The clouds are subtropical in nature and are from Tropical Storm Norbert (formerly hurricane) off the coast of Mexico. Photo by Paul DePascale (all rights reserved).
