Which of the following do you consider to be the most significant disaster in California history?

  1. Ok....the OJ trial....barely beats out the Mendez Bros who killed their parents but escaped vmore severe penalties bevcause a juror felt sorry for them being orphans (well, DUH!!!)
Can't think of any good the Spanish did on this continent.
Let's not forget the Russian exploration of northern Calif. Not a bad thing since they sold it off so cheaply BEFORE the gold was found. Not many even know of the St Francis damn disaster.
As to the quake in San Francisco in 1906....wasn't near strong enough since they could rebuild that city allowing liberal politicians and judges to affect our lives in so many pertinent ways (no twinkie defense here!).
    Shep
