Picture of the Day - Tonight's OMS Meeting

Tonight the Orcutt Mineral Society convened its monthly club meeting in Orcutt, CA. As this was the first meeting of the new year and with a new president (although she has served four previous stints as president, although not consecutively) and many members were absent having gone to Quartzsite therefore the meeting was a bit disjointed and out of sorts as one would reasonably expect. Incoming President Debbie Hood led the meeting while Past President Wayne Mills conducted an audio-visual presentation on agates which was the theme of the show and hence his display below.

Member Geary Sheffer was awarded a life-time achievement award from the club for all his service over the years. Note: please pardon the poor photo quality as it was rushed so as to capture the moment for which  I was unprepared.
