The Rim Fire burning on the Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park in Tuolumne County, CA, is off to the races again this morning it appears from the pyrocumulus clouds seen above over the building convection columns. It appears today will be another long day, perhaps worse than yesterday which saw the fire look a bit less impressive and the growth rate slow significantly compared to the previous 2-3 days. This view is from Crane Flat Helibase by way of the webcam there captured at 11:01 a.m. |
