The Truthiness of Daft Punkedness
For those of you who somehow missed this story last week here it is belatedly. French electronica/techno outfit Daft Punk which was booked to appear on The Colbert Report was ordered by corporate master Viacom which owns MTV to instead appear on their VMA show next month which somehow doesn't make any sense to me since last week was last week and next month is, well, next month... but no matter. Note: read HERE for more details. Colbert took this lemon of a situation and made a Tom Collins out of it creating this amazingly clever and hilarious short song and dance skit for his program utilizing Daft Punk's hit song "Get Lucky" from this year which they would have performed on his show.
