"Time" Remixed

I have been in love with the cinematic music work of  German film composer Hans Zimmer since first hearing "Now We Are Free" (sung by Lisa Gerard of Dead Can Dance fame) which was the score of the movie Gladiator (which I have yet to see). I recently found this wonderful Karanda remix of his piece "Time" from the soundtrack of Inception quite by accident while exploring Youtube for new electronic music discoveries.

Que Hora Es?

I stumbled upon this the other day and aside from laughing my arse off I also immediately felt convicted in my heart: two semesters of Spanish in 8th grade, eight semesters of Spanish in high school and two semesters of Spanish at Cuesta College... and I still can't converse in Spanish nor come close to fluently reading and writing it.

Scott Pelley Gets His Volcano On

Initially I had desire to watch this short segment given the vapidity and overall scientific ignorance of reporters. Despite a few inaccurate representations by CBS News' Scott Pelley and one of the women in the segment in regards to the threat level for Yellowstone erupting this was a pleasure to watch. BTW, he and the Icelandic volcanologist are spot on in regards to the ill effects to modern human civilization that are inevitable when the next big "Tambora-esque" eruption occurs somewhere on Earth.

Actually, This Is My Favorite Trance Set

A month ago I posted "My Favorite Trance Set" which indeed is still in my top two favorite such but this one has since supplanted and is even playing on my computer as I compose this post. I suggest you crank up your speakers and listen to this preferably at night as God intended trance to be enjoyed. There are several tracks that give me goosebumps including a couple of doublelets. The first one starts with the original mix of ATB's "Midnight Sun" from 2010 which starts at 5:50 and the second part of that doublets starts at 11:14 and is Shato's original mix of "Wonderfooled". The second doublet starts with OceanLab's "If I Could Fly" at the 28:18 mark and second part of the second doublet starts at 33:53 with Trilucid's "Departures" (Yuri Kane remix). A good deal of the transitions in this set are incredibly good which so often is not the case with such sets. Enjoy!

Picture of the Day - Cover The Earth

Today while waiting at the traffic signal at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and 13th Street in Paso Robles, CA, I noticed this image on the side of a Sherwin-Williams Paints truck parked in front of their paint store. The image struck me rather forcefully and I could not avoid thinking of some Biblical End-Of-The-Age theme.
