Today was set-up day for the 53rd annual installment of the
Cayucos Gem & Mineral Show hosted by the
San Luis Obispo Gem & Mineral Club and held at the
Cayucos Vets Hall next to the Cayucos Pier. I was quite busy today helping both the club set up the show, particularly in the area of show publicity including getting last-minute flyer delivery as well as getting the
Showcase Displays inventory in place to be set up in the morning early as I did not have all the shelving infrastructure I needed. I am doing this booth in place of owner
Marybeth Shears as she could not get off of work for this show. My late old friend
Steve Shears (Man In The Yellow Shirt) formerly owned this business and manned this booth for those of you whom remember him. Below are several images I captured of some of our beloved dealers.
Something notable about this show is the fact it is the first time since 2009 that I have been present at this show as the previous three installments of our June show I was helping David Richter do Gem Faire in Salt Lake City, UT.
