Altara From Altitude
I recently found this track while patrolling Youtube for new amazing tracks and appropriate awesome accompanying videos. It is called "Altara" by Swedish trance artist Johan Vilborg which here is remixed by Canadian electronic music artist Nigel Good and was released in 2012. I never grow weary of watching orbital imagery (International Space Station in this case) even when I've seen some of it before as is the case here. However, some of it may be new to me. Turn up your speakers and expand the music player to full-screen.

Picture of the Day - This Aurora Is Finnish
![]() |
This is one of the best images of the Aurora Borealis I have ever seen. It was taken last night in Finland and features not just the usual green light pattern but even some blue and peach coloration in odd patterns. Image courtesy of Antti Pietikäinen (all rights reserved). |

Sayonara
For my first musical offering of 2015 I am proud to share with you this gem of progressive trance by Mango a.k.a. Alex Golovanov entitled "Sayonara." Note: my boycott of all things Russian does not apply to trance. I first encountered this track last year but had not heard it on decent speakers until tonight and was quite impressed enough to want to find a video version of it worthy of this blog.

A Lotta Nata = Awesome
I recently discovered "Nata" by Russian trance project Plexland, while surfing through Youtube links. The music is a gem of lush wall-of-sound trance while its video is a gem of timelapse photography featuring most of the themes that turn me on (aside from sex). Fifteen months ago I first shared another even more amazing track by the same artist HERE.

Divergence In Orbit
Linsis, my older sister by another mother, sent this to me to share with you... it is breathtakingly beautiful! The music track is "The Black Parrot" by the artist Divergence. The footage is yet more amazing imagery from the International Space Station (ISS), not to be confused with ISIS.

My Top 10 Bucket List Lights
For some reason it occurred to me in recent days that there is a notably long list of lights I would like to see with mine own eyes before I leave this world and meet my Maker experience the brilliance of God's presence. Below is my bucket list of lights.
- The ominous blue glow of Cherenkov Radiation.
- The piezoelectrostatic discharge of the Earthquake Light.
- The spectacular explosion of Volcanic Lightning.
- The globular luminosity of Ball Lightning.
- The heavenly green glow of the Aurora Borealis.
- The ephemeral flash of the Green Flash.
- The shocking brilliance of the Red Sprite.
- The shooting forth of the Blue Jet.
- The mysterious red disk of the ELVES.
- The violet glow of St. Elmo's Fire.

Sonne Sans Sun
This is as sumptuously gorgeous a track and separately so a montage of orbital nocturnal views of our home world as I have ever seen. To my delight the two are married below in an aural-visual extravaganza of goosebump and sentimental tear-inducing magnitude. This is also not altogether undanceable I might add. This track is entitled "Ultramarine" and is on Schiller's seventh album "Sonne" which was released last year. This footage was shot in 2011 from the International Space Station. Some of it is new footage to me and some of it appeared in another fan-created video for another Schiller track, "A Beautiful Day", which I previously shared on this blog just last month. Immediately below that is the current view from the ISS.

More Than Held Together By Gravity
Back in the 2000's I was really into ambient music to go along with my love of other forms of electronica, particularly trance and what would later become known as electronic dance music (EDM). The past few years I have not been as much into ambient for whatever reason. However, just this past day I came across this amazing ambient track by the Swedish ambient outfit Carbon Based Lifeforms. This track sounds quite a bit like Brian Eno's "An Ending Ascent" which was featured here a couple of years ago. Both tracks give one goosebumps and the timelapse imagery in this video is so absolutely, breathtakingly, gorgeous one is tempted to weep at the utter and complete rapturous beauty of it all. We so live in such an amazing world. We need not dream of exploring exotic alien worlds: we live in one now! These scenes must be merely hors d'oeuvres relative to what sights and experiences await us beyond this life if we know Christ.

"A Beautiful Day" At Night
All I can say about this is WOW! I have heard the track "A Beautiful Day" by German artist Schiller many times prior to tonight. I even used to own a copy of the CD upon which it appears before I lent it to a friend who died and it got lost in the shuffle. Anywho, set to this music is some draw-dropping footage taken from the International Space Station. This music and these views seem apropos for this space as I nocturnally labor upon my next blog postings before going to bed this night which is nearly over now as I seem to have worked through the night. Immediately below that is the current view from the ISS>

Aurorae Colorado
My friend Roxxfoxx retweeted this from HuffGreen and I immediately fell in love with it. This footage was captured by stormchaser Ryan Shepard in Briggsdale, Colorado
a few days ago.

Liontamer
It was love at first hearing from me in regards to Faithless' music back in 2001 when I first heard their hits "Insomnia", "Tarantula" and "We Come 1" and later, "God Is A DJ" and "Take The Long Way Home".
I plan on giving them the full treatment here sometime in the future and sharing these songs. However, for now I just want to share "Liontamer" from their 2001 album "Outrospective". It features both an amazing sound as well as some elements of its lyrics are actually rather quite profound which lyrics can be found below the music player below here.
If you place a thing into the center of your life
That lacks the power to nourish
It will eventually poison everything that you are
And destroy you
A simple a thing as an idea
Or your perspective on yourself or the world
No one can be the source of your content,
It lies within, in the center.
Only with mellow while your thin enough to slide through
Only with mellow while your thin enough to slide through
Don't let nothing ride you.
If the sun or the moon should give away to doubt,
They would immediately go out .
One.
Swallow don't make a sound,
But tomorrow has to start somewhere.
Newspapers entertain,
Lion Tamers die in pain
This Child wise beyond words
Whose tears flow without cease
Newspapers entertain,
Lion Tamers die in pain
This child wise beyond words
Whose tears flow without cease
When there's no where, left to run to
Let me come to you, let me help you down
For when the world, gives you tomorrow
Your gonna learn to live again
We can learn to go,
Oh learn as we go
Just to live, for the day
I know it's hard, to live for the moment
Just try, anyway

"May It Be" But Better
Crap, I need to go to bed but tonight! I discovered 16klu and can't leave their Youtube channel. On their Facebook page I found this 2012 trance track which is a goosebump-inducing remix by Paul Webster of Enya's 2002 goosebump-inducing track "May It Be" from the soundtrack of Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring. This is really, really good trance and it's new which gives me hope for the near-future of the genre. I also believe I'm audio-visually in love!
