A Rose Bowl For The Ages


I am still wrapping my mind around the 103rd Rose Bowl played today into tonight featuring the resurgent USC Trojans vs. Penn State Nittany Lions. Both schools are rebuilding from NCAA sanctions (USC's sanctions related to the Reggie Bush scandal and Penn State's sanctions related to a child molestation scandal). Both football programs appear to be back to national prominence. Tonight's climactic finish was a last-second/game-winning field goal by USC which capped a 17-point comeback in the final quarter to win 52-49.
